Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is about a 30-minute drive (depending on traffic) to the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Public transit from BWI Airport is available using the MARC Train or MTA Light Rail. The BWI Marshall Airport Light Rail Station is located immediately outside the lower level of the terminal building, adjacent to Concourse E.

BWI Marshall Airport offers free, frequent, and convenient shuttle service between the MARC/Amtrak station and the BWI Marshall Airport Terminal. Shuttle service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Shuttles run approximately every six to eight minutes, except between the hours of 1 and 5 a.m. when service operates every 25 minutes.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is approximately a 1 ½-hour drive (depending on traffic) to the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. 

 

Participants can use the Metrorail system for travel from Reagan Washington National Airport.

 

The maximum fare to any station on the Metrorail system is less than $6 when using a SmarTrip card, which is available for purchase inside the Metro station. You also will need to purchase an Amtrak/MARC train ticket. When leaving Reagan Airport, take the Metro Yellow Line to L’Enfant Plaza or Metro Center and transfer to the Orange Line to New Carrollton. From New Carrollton, the MARC/Amtrak train is available to Penn Station in downtown Baltimore. From Penn Station, we encourage you to take a taxi or take an app-ride service to the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

Dulles International Airport is approximately a two-hour drive (depending on traffic) to the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

 

App-based ride services are available via Uber, Lyft, etc. Taxis at BWI Airport also can be located outside of baggage claim. Water taxis are available to explore Baltimore’s harbor.

Amtrak/MARC and Light Rail Train service is available to downtown Baltimore’s Penn Station. Amtrak and Light Rails require a ticket purchase before boarding. These can be purchased before or upon your arrival to Baltimore. Penn Station is the closest train station to the conference hotel.  To arrive at this station by Amtrak train, it is a straight shot from the airport and fares range from $12 to $45. If you wish to use Light Rail, it will require you to transfer trains. To go to Penn Station from BWI, please exit the Light Rail train at Mount Royal Avenue and take the Penn Station Light Rail. There is only one fare for both trains at $1.80 each way.

From Penn Station, we encourage you to use a taxi or an app-ride service to the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.
